   The answer is yes Patsy.

     However after having consulted the forum rules and constitution it is apparent that;

      "Whosoever has at midnight on the anniversary of 30th June been the most prolific and persistent maker of Posts in the herewith ending annus shall be unequivocally and without prejudice declared:
              Champion Internet Message Poster or CHIMP.

    Such title shall give the holder sole and unreserved right to be vested and decorated with garlands of Pansies, which shall be worn at all public and private social occasions attended by any or all of the MEBO fraternity.

    The acceptance of the title of CHIMP is non negotiable, and the holder shall at all times when on, or within the defined boundaries of the Rally Field, or at any other pre-defined location where the aforesaid MEBO's may meet, be obliged to wear a clearly visible badge which shall state in LARGE BOLD lettering;  " I AM A CHIMP."

    In appreciation of having become a CHIMP the aforesaid CHIMP shall, as a
gesture of their pleasure and honour of being a CHIMP be most forthcoming in the provision of Beverages and Brews derived from the malting of Barley, or the pressing of the fruit borne of the Apple Tree"

Thank you very much for doing the research Henny.
Do I take it as you are still 'on tour 2004' then this is from the 2004 forum rules and constution?  I believe they have been amended somewhat since then!!!

Don't believe him; he's lying Pasty.

I distinctly remember that at the last Extraordinary General Meeting of the Amalgamated Regulated Society of English On-Line Board Owners, (ARSE O-LBO) the last paragraph of the rule in question was amended from

"In appreciation of having become a CHIMP the aforesaid CHIMP shall, as a gesture of their pleasure and honour of being a CHIMP be most forthcoming in the provision of Beverages and Brews derived from the malting of Barley, or the pressing of the fruit borne of the Apple Tree"

to read:

"As an alternative to wearing the aforesaid sign, the designated CHIMP may  keep the Owner of the Message Board in question, liberally supplied, at each and every opportunity, with Beverages and Brews derived from the malting of Barley, or the pressing of the fruit borne of the Apple Tree"
